Research

There are three main streams of research within the School:

- The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Italy

- The monitoring of technology based startups in Italy

- The monitoring of startup investment firms in Italy

- The research on innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems

We are active on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in Italy since 2012. GEM is the most important global research on early stage entrepreneurship with more than 70 countries involved.

In 2014, we started the first analysis of technology-based startups at the country level. The enterprises analyzed at the end of 2015 are around 5.000.

Recently we added a new stream of research on innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems. There is a growing interest on how to create environments that are conducive to more entrepreneurial initiatives with potential for growth.
